The NSW Government announced this morning community sport will recommence when the 80 per cent double vaccination target has been met.
From the Monday after NSW hits the 80 per cent (aged 16 and over) double dose vaccination target, eased restrictions will allow those who are fully vaccinated to have up to 10 people visit their home, participate in community sport, and access hospitality venues (where drinking while standing up will be allowed indoors). All premises will operate at 1 person per 4sqm indoors, and 1 person per 2sqm outdoors.
In addition to this, it is anticipated that community sport will open for all of as 1 December.
For more information, please see the FACT SHEET.
Over the coming weeks, NSW Health and the Office of Sport will work with the sports sector to finalise the details and requirements for the recommencement of community sport.
We appreciate there will be questions regarding any restrictions that will be in place, and we will provide more clarity as soon as it becomes available.
In the meantime, Little Athletics NSW would ask that Centres start to prepare for registrations to open shortly and the return of community sport.
