Zac started at Narromine Little Athletics in Under 6’s after watching his older brothers compete from birth till he was old enough to register. Zac’s Cerebral Palsy is quad affecting all 4 limbs, like many other of his Little Athletics mates he struggles with very sore muscles when competing and it takes a few days of muscle recovery but he always has a smile on his face from his love of Little Athletics and the socialising it allows him to do.
Athletics has given Zac and many other athletes a chance to compete at a competitive level like his able body friends in a fun environment and show them that he is just as capable as they are. Zac has competed at State Championships each year since 2017 and was among the group of first Multiclass athletes to be selected in the U13’s Little Athletics NSW Team in the 2021 but due to Covid he wasn’t able to compete.
Zac’s mum Tanya says “Little Athletics is a great sport for kids with a disability with its main focus on being your best, fun and fitness.”
