Little Athletics NSW has accepted the resignation of recently appointed director Brooke Collins, effective immediately.

This follows a Little Athletics NSW board meeting on Friday 5 June which determined to commence disciplinary procedures in accordance with the Constitution we are bound by.

Little Athletics NSW is a strong advocate of diversity and inclusion in our sport and will continue to do so by constantly reviewing and improving what we do and offer in all our communities and centres.

Little Athletics NSW embraces diversity, inclusion and belonging, and has worked hard to ensure this is reflected in our policies and guidelines and is lived daily in the actions of all staff and members.

Little Athletics NSW is aware of comments made by one of its recently appointed directors in relation to refusing to perform an Acknowledgement of Country.

We are taking this matter extremely seriously and views of this nature will not be accepted by Little Athletics NSW and the athletics community.

While the incident relates to a role held outside of the athletics community, the views expressed do not align with the values of Little Athletics NSW and the organisation condemns these comments in the strongest possible way.

Little Athletics NSW is formally reviewing this issue as a matter of urgency and will provide further comment at the appropriate time.
