Good Sports

The Good Sports program supports, educates and inspires over 11,000 community sporting clubs to set up a better environment for players, volunteers, supporters and officials. Busy club volunteers have access to a Good Sports team member to step them through the program; help to comply with legislation and duty of care requirements; quick and easy access to proven tools and resources; and, guidance to boost funding opportunities. The program has been supporting clubs for over 20 years and is free for all Australian community sporting clubs.

The Good Sports program provides clubs with policies to support compliance with safe transport, alcohol, and other drugs, Keeping your club members safe on country roads – Good Sports. Including, guidelines for wellbeing and mental health along with advice for fundraising, celebrating volunteers and grant funding support, Grants overview – Good Sports. Department of Transport and Department of Health fund this program and provide essential procedures to manage and prevent incidences, involving modelling positive behaviour and reducing the high fatalities and serious injuries on our roads as club’s attend events.
