The LANSW Fun Run Festival has three different distances of 1.5km, 3km and 5km. The event is open to all ages and abilities. The course is flat and accessible to all who participate.

Sunday, 26 June 2022 – Woolgoolga Beach Reserve (Walks venue to be confirmed)
Welcome to our first Regional Cross Country & Road Walks Carnival. This Cross Country component is unique and does not fit your typical Cross Country course. The course will start and finish opposite Woolgoolga Beach Reserve where athletes will gather at the start line on the beachfront. Runners will then run along the sand and take in the beautiful surrounds of the beach and ocean.
The Road Walks venue is still being organised but will take place in Woolgoolga.

The Winter Track Meet will take place at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Track. The event will offer athletes the opportunity to participate in a range of events with electronic timing and accredited Officials.

Sunday, 10 July at Scheyville National Park (Event Information)
The Little Athletics NSW Metro Cross Country Carnival will be held on Sunday, 10 July 2022 at Scheyville National Park in Western Sydney. U7-U17 age groups will be eligible to enter the Cross Country Carnival. All athletes must be Little Athletics NSW current members and all must wear their full uniform. There will be a Community 4km Run for all non-members, family & friends (minimum age 16yrs). The Tiny Tot/U6 300m is also open to all non-members, family & friends (no medals awarded).
Entries are ONLINE and close at 9am Thursday, 30 June. Cost is $25 per athlete. No late entries.

Saturday, 13 & Sunday 14 August 2022 at Campbelltown Stadium
This event is aimed at Primary School aged children. All participants must attend a Primary School to be eligible to compete e.g., 7 to 13yrs. Events will range from 100m to 800m, Walks, Throws and Jumps. Little Athletics NSW Rules of Competition will apply.

Saturday, 12 & Sunday, 13 November 2022 at Sydney Olympic Athletics Centre
The State Relay Championships is the largest event on the LANSW calendar in terms of number of competitors. As the name suggests the Championships are comprised entirely of relay events. The State Relays are held in November each year. Juniors (U8 to U11), compete on the Saturday and Seniors (U12 to U17) compete on the Sunday. The Championships are usually held at Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre.

Saturday, 4 & Sunday, 5 March 2023 at Bill Jacob Athletic Field, Wagga Wagga
The Kumon State Combined Carnival is held on the first weekend in March each year, at a regional venue. At this carnival, athletes participate in ALL of the events on offer for their age group and points are allocated for performances recorded in each event, based on the Little Athletics NSW Multi-Event Point score tables/system. The points across all events conducted for each age group are added together to determine final results. Entries are ONLINE only. There are no refunds following initial close of entry.

Dates to be advised – Sydney Olympic Athletics Centre
The McDonalds State Track & Field Championships are the culmination of the track & field competition season. To avoid clashing with Athletics Australia’s Australian Championships, next year the Championships will be held on Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th of March 2022 at SOPAC (Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre). Athletes in the age groups U9 through to U17 progress through to this event after qualifying from their Regional Championships.

The ALAC (Australian Little Athletics Championships) is a two-day event held every year in April. The event is hosted by each State or Territory on a rotational basis. All States and Territories, with the exception of the Northern Territory, are represented at the championships.
