Great Sports Parenting Workshop

This Working With Parents in Sport workshop is designed to help you positively support your child during their sporting experience.

Who is the workshop for?

This workshop is for parents of athletes of all ages and abilities

Time Commitment

1.5 hours attendance face-to-face (No pre-course work or reading required).

Workshop Outcomes

During this workshop, you will learn about:

• Why child play sport and why children quit sport
• What you can do to best support your child
• Keeping things in perspective
• Avoiding early comparisons
• Bouncing back from failure
• Finding the right coach
• Over-specialising in sport
• The car journey home

Participant Requirements

• There are prerequisites to attend this workshop.
• There is no assessment, written or practical.

Accreditation

This workshop is provided as professional development and therefore no formal accreditation is gained for attendance.

Workshop Cost

The workshop is currently being provided free-of-charge. Participants receive a “Great Sports Parenting” booklet.
